Abstract
Appelée à témoigner pour la défense dans une cause de discrimination systémique devant la Commission des droits de la personne, l'auteure relate les circonstances de ce témoignage et analyse l'ambiguïté des trois rôles qu'elle fut ainsi appelée à jouer simultanément, à savoir ceux de chercheuse, d'experte et d'experte féministe. Elle examine les différences dans les attentes du tribunal et le niveau d'engagement de la chercheuse féministe associés à chaque rôle. Elle en conclut que, malgré les réserves que suscite le système judiciaire, la participation de féministes sensibles au phénomène de la discrimination systémique est essentielle pour creuser des brèches dans le système patriarcal.
