Abstract

In 2022 daalde de CO2-emissie van de glastuinbouw per saldo met een kwart naar 4,9 Mton. Deze daling kwam vooral door een lager energiegebruik (-27%) als gevolg hoge energieprijzen. Ook minder verkoop van elektriciteit met wkk deed de CO2-emissie dalen. Toename van het areaal in de Landbouwtelling, daling van de inkoop van elektriciteit en de inkoop van niet-duurzame warmte hadden een opstuwende invloed. De inzet van duurzame energie liet voor het eerst een daling zien, maar doordat het totaal energiegebruik sterker daalde nam het aandeel duurzaam wel toe naar ruim 15%. Er werd 30% minder energie per eenheid product gebruikt, waardoor de energie-efficiëntie index met 14 procentpunten verbeterde.
