Abstract
La présente étude exploratoire réalisée auprès de récents diplômés universitaires en chômage prolongé a permis de déceler chez eux la présence d'une sévère dépression caractérisée par des troubles d'humeur (tristesse, pessimisme et irritabilité), des difficultés physiologiques, une forte anxiété, des troubles cognitifs, des contacts sociaux atrophiés, une très vive agressivité et le maintien d'une image de soi étonnamment positive eu égard aux composantes symptomatiques précédentes. De plus, la teneur de ces composantes s'avère substantiellement projective: leurs origines sont jugées, par les répondants, comme externes à eux. Ceux-ci identifient le marasme économique, l'incurie de l'appareil gouvernemental, l'égoïsme des générations précédentes, la faible conscientisation de la population et l'attitude purement mercantile des entreprises comme principales sources de leurs tristesse, pessimisme, irritabilité, retrait social et agressivité.
