Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report on a search for anomalous production of events with at least two charged, isolated, like-sign leptons, each with ${p}_{T}>11\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/c$ using a $107\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{p}{\mathrm{b}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{1}}$ sample of 1.8 TeV $p\overline{p}$ collisions collected by the CDF detector. We define a signal region containing low background from standard model processes. To avoid bias, we fix the final cuts before examining the event yield in the signal region using control regions to test the Monte Carlo predictions. We observe no events in the signal region, consistent with an expectation of ${0.63}_{\ensuremath{-}0.07}^{+0.84}$ events. We present 95% confidence level limits on new physics processes in both a signature-based context as well as within a representative minimal supergravity ($\mathrm{tan}\ensuremath{\beta}=3$) model.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
