Abstract
The article contains analysis of the system of ecological-and-economic management in Canada. The analysis shows that sustainable ecological-andeconomic development policy in Canada is more corresponding to the principles of sustainable development than the Russian policy. Such aspects as high standard of living, clearly organized structure of ecological regulation, government support of scientific research in the environmental sphere, high level of state environmental expenditures and others confirm it. Studying efficient methods of ecological-and-economic regulation used in Canada can help to advance the Russian concept of sustainable development. It enables Russia to improve the state of the environment and raise living standard of its population.
