Abstract
Summary: In this interview, author Denis Cote discusses for the first time the autobiographical component in his young adult novel Aux portes de l'horreur (1994). While the book appears to be a straightforward science fiction novel for young adults, it nevertheless contains traces of its author's own adolescence, in particular the moment of crisis in which Vincent, the book's protagonist, must evaluate his relationships with others and his own sense of identity. Resume: Dans cet entretien, l'ecrivain jeunesse Denis Cote devoile une partie cachee de son œuvre : la dimension autobiographique du roman Aux portes de l'horreur (1994). Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un roman fantastique, celui-ci se revele, sur certains aspects, fort inspire de l'adolescence de l'auteur. Le romancier met notamment en relief la crise que vit Vincent, le personnage principal. Cette crise devient l'occasion d'une profonde remise en question du jeune homme qui s'interroge sur ses relations avec autrui et sur sa propre identite.
