Cet article a pour but de montrer que les pronoms démonstratifs celui-ci/celui-là sont des marqueurs référentiels hybrides, à la fois anaphoriques et déictiques. Porteurs d’information déjà donnée, par l’intermédiaire de lui, et vecteur de saillance nouvelle par la procédure de saisie démonstrative, ils constituent une expression référentielle originale qui amène du nouveau en s’appuyant sur la saillance préalable d’une classe de référents déjà nommés.
