Abstract
A novel design of a silicon all-NPN floating active inductor is presented. Using a 0.8 /spl mu/m BiCMOS technology with the NPN f/sub T/'s at 11 GHz, inductance values in the range of 10-70 nH can be realized on-chip for filter applications in the UHF range. To illustrate the operation of this floating inductor, simulation and experimental results are provided for its application in an 6/sup th/-order elliptic LC bandpass filter.
