Abstract
Le « spectre » des psychothérapies contemporaines se déploie du behaviorisme, qui ne veut pas tenir compte de l’intériorité (de l’esprit) et s’en tient aux comportements, jusqu’aux thérapies transpersonnelles qui font accéder l’homme aux sommets de la connaissance et de la compassion. Entre ces deux extrêmes, on trouve la psychanalyse, dont on se demande si son idéal d’amour et de travail peut être considéré comme « spirituel ». Les thérapies corporelles se risquent du côté de l’esprit, d’une façon assez floue, et les thérapies humanistes se situent à la charnière de ces deux univers : la démarche « scientifique » d’une part, plus ou moins matérialiste, et, d’autre part, la démarche de type gnostique, pour qui l’Esprit est la vraie nature de l’être humain.
