Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report an indirect search for nonstandard model physics using the flavor-changing neutral current decays $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{(*)}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. We reconstruct the decays and measure their angular distributions, as a function of ${q}^{2}={M}_{\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\mu}}^{2}{c}^{2}$, where ${M}_{\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\mu}}$ is the dimuon mass, in $p\overline{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $6.8\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. The transverse polarization asymmetry ${A}_{T}^{(2)}$ and the time-reversal-odd charge-and-parity asymmetry ${A}_{\mathrm{im}}$ are measured for the first time, together with the ${K}^{*}$ longitudinal polarization fraction ${F}_{L}$ and the muon forward-backward asymmetry ${A}_{\mathrm{FB}}$ for the decays ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*0}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. The $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ forward-backward asymmetry in the most sensitive kinematic regime, $1\ensuremath{\le}{q}^{2}<6\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{GeV}}^{2}/{c}^{2}$, is measured to be ${A}_{\mathrm{FB}}={0.29}_{\ensuremath{-}0.23}^{+0.20}(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.07(\mathrm{syst})$, the most precise result to date. No deviations from the standard model predictions are observed.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
