Abstract
Cet article, portant sur Littoral de Wajdi Mouawad, veut montrer comment l’écriture de la pièce repose sur la volonté de refonder la filiation et le sens à la suite de la mort du père. C’est ici un parcours identitaire qui se construit, puisque la mort du père rend non seulement la parole possible, mais engage le protagoniste, Wilfrid, dans une quête vers l’âge d’homme : l’errance de Wilfrid dans le pays natal du père devient une entreprise de deuil liée à la rencontre avec la mémoire collective.
