Abstract: This essay demonstrates that in One Hundred Years of Solitude characterization of marginalized figures such as Rebeca Buendía and the Guajiro Indians undermines the rules under which the nation is constructed according to the theoretical concepts explained by Homi Bhabha in The Location of Culture.
