Abstract
Cet article présente un volet des résultats d’une recherche évaluative portant sur l’implantation d’un programme de répit offert par des bénévoles et destiné à des familles ayant un enfant atteint d’une maladie à issue fatale. L’objectif poursuivi était d’examiner, à partir de la perspective des parents, si la ressource mise en place par l’organisme Le Phare a vraiment donné du répit et du ressourcement aux familles. Sur le plan méthodologique, une approche qualitative de type participatif a été utilisée. Les résultats révèlent que cette ressource à domicile est une ressource nécessaire et de qualité, mais insuffisante, car la lourdeur de la situation de ces familles nécessite une intervention globale incluant un soutien bénévole et professionnel à domicile et en résidence.
