Abstract
L’INSERM a publié en France un rapport, Trouble des conduites chez l’enfant et l’adolescent, qui est ici abordé comme un cas type. Nous faisons une hypothèse selon laquelle le modèle biopsychologique véhiculé dans ce rapport représente bien les nouveaux paramètres nord-américains de recherche, explication et traitement des troubles mentaux. Il accorde un rôle central aux éléments suivants : troubles définis et diagnostiqués à partir de constellations de symptômes, susceptibilité génétique, déficits neurocognitifs, tempérament, environnement familial et social conçu comme des « stresseurs », dépistage à grande échelle à partir d’instruments simples et traitements multimodaux incluant thérapies cognitivo-comportementales et médicaments psychotropes.
