Abstract
En étudiant la division du travail sur la ferme, il faudra tenir compte du degré de modernisation de l'entreprise et de celui de sa dépendance des rapports de production capitalistes. L'analyse indique qu'il se combine pour influer sur les rôles sexuels, mais pas d'une façon simple : chez les hommes, les activités ménagères et agricoles et le travail hors ferme sont davantage influencés par la modification des rapports de production, alors que l'activité des femmes, dans ces domaines, varie considérablement en fonction de l'interaction entre les deux dimensions. L'inverse est vrai pour la participation aux groupements communautaires. Les données proviennent d'une petite paroisse du Québec; il s'agit d'entrevues semi-dirigées, réalisées auprès des membres adultes de 63 familles agricoles choisies au hasard.
