Abstract
Le concept de dévolution introduit par Brousseau et Wardfield vise à faire prendre en charge par l’élève son propre apprentissage. Il réfère à une situation didactique très particulière qui relève en fait d’une situation d’échange dual entre un adulte et l’élève. La plupart de ses mises à l’épreuve ultérieures ont été associées à des situations d’ingénierie. Les conditions d’application de la dévolution en situation ordinaire de classe restent ainsi relativement confuses et non élucidées. D’où l’idée d’aller regarder comment des enseignants novices sont susceptibles d’opérationnaliser ce concept dans le contexte normal d’une classe. L’analyse des échanges et des interactions apporte des précisions quant aux conditions d’applicabilité de ce processus en situation naturelle (hors ingénierie) et dans un autre champ disciplinaire que les mathématiques.
