Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

[10031-26-2] Br3Fe (MW 295.56) InChI = 1S/3BrH.Fe/h3*1H;/q;;;+3/p-3 InChIKey = FEONEKOZSGPOFN-UHFFFAOYSA-K (oxidizing reagent for oxidation of alcohols, sulfides, aromatic alkynes and allyltin compounds, reagent for aromatic bromination, halogen and halogen exchange reactions, synthesis of vinyl bromides, Lewis acid catalysis for inter- and intramolecular reactions) Alternate Names: Ferric bromide. Physical Data: mp >130 °C. Solubility: soluble in H2O, MeOH, Et2O, AcOH, DMF, CH3CN, benzene, and toluene. Form Supplied in: dark-red or black hexagonal, rhombic plates. Commercially available. Preparative Method: adequate anhydrous FeBr3 is available commercially for most purposes. However, it can be prepared by reacting iron powder with anhydrous bromine under vacuum. Under these conditions, ferric bromide can be sublimed and collected as black shiny plates.1 Handling, Storage, and Precautions: is hygroscopic and irritant; inhalation or ingestion may be fatal. When FeBr3 is heated at 122–130 °C under vacuum, bromine evolves from the system and FeBr2 is obtained.1, 2. It causes eye and skin irritation. Loses Br2 on exposure to air and light. Keep cool, well closed, and protected from light. It should be kept under inert dry atmosphere. Use in a fume hood.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
