Abstract
Cette étude traite des facteurs socioculturels et pédagogiques qui motivent le désir d'action environnementale. Elle a été menée auprès de quatre groupes sociaux d'une communauté côtière. Les sujets ont participé à diverses activités d'éducation relative à l'environnement qui ont contribué à l'accomplissement d'actions de restauration. La collecte des données s'est déroulée selon l'approche du récit de vie et par entrevues semi-structurées. Faite par trois juges à partir de catégories établies a priori, avec ouverture sur des catégories émergentes, l'analyse des données indique que les principaux facteurs de motivation ont été l'observation visuelle du problème, la réception d'informations, l'impression de la réalisabilité de la tâche, le sens de la solidarité et l'attente de récompenses personnelles consécutives à l'action.
