The wisdom of the preceding chapter is that a wavelet multiplier can be considered as a filter which time and band-limits a signal. Thus, if we are interested in finding a filter that has the same effect as two wavelet multipliers arranged in series, we are actually seeking a formula for the product of two wavelet multipliers.
