Abstract
This article deals with the importance of temporary work amongst unqualified young people when they start working. It is based on a sample of 45 youngsters under 18. The results point out four different statuses. It can be explained by the synergy between the social capital of people as professionals together with the professional dedication when entering active life and the type of career foreseen. More precisely, young temps suffer from a lack of steadiness combined with the appeal of nomadism that allow them either to shape a career where temporary work is useful, or shift their need of steadiness at work by optimizing the freedom and the experience offered by temporary work. As far as nomadism or overexploitation is concerned, a systematic reading is toned down.
