Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract Objective: To describe the process involved in analyzing and selecting new sterile fume hoods in a health care establishment. Context: In the context of a call for tenders for the acquisition of six new sterile fume hoods in a health care establishment, a quantitative and qualitative analysis was undertaken. Five models of class II A2 laminar airflow hoods were proposed by four manufacturers. A new prototype was evaluated on-site. The final analysis consisted of a presentation of the scores obtained as a function of nine criteria as well as the main advantages and inconveniences encountered. This study shows that differences exist between the equipment that was evaluated and the equipment with new and interesting features now appearing on the market (for example, inclined fenestration and ergonomic support). A sixth model was evaluated a posteriori. Conclusion: Few publications exist that compare the sterile fume hoods available on the Canadian market. Among the five evaluated models (Labconco TM , Microzone TM , Forma TM , Forma 1400 TM and Sterigard III Advance TM ), the Sterigard model best answers to the requirements of our establishment in the main pharmacy sector. However, we cannot apply these recommendations to all health care establishments given that an analysis of local requirements is necessary prior to any acquisition. Key words: laminar airflow hood; sterile preparations; barrier system;insulator.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
