Abstract
Depuis une quarantaine d’années, nous constatons que la manière 1 de devenir parents a changé : à côté de la famille « classique », une femme et un homme mariés et leurs enfants, nous trouvons diverses configurations familiales, dont la dernière apparue, la famille homoparentale. Toutefois, les familles homoparentales tout en s’inscrivant dans cette chaîne d’évolution y apportent une rupture importante : les parents de l’enfant ne peuvent plus se présenter comme ses possibles géniteurs. Quelles questions nous posent cette continuité et cette rupture? Ces familles demandent à être reconnues par la loi en tant que famille; pourquoi cette reconnaissance qui a eu lieu dans plusieurs pays est-elle si difficile en France?
