Abstract
Tomando como referencia empírica los resultados de una investigación realizada en las ciudades canadienses de Montreal y Ottawa, presentamos algunas reflexiones sobre cómo se perciben las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (NTIC) en su uso y apropiación familiar, interesándonos en particular por las repercusiones que los encuestados creen que dichas tecnologías pueden tener sobre la comunicación en la familia. Acabamos señalando algunos puntos de vista que conviene tener en cuenta de cara a la futura investigación sobre las nuevas tecnologías de la comunicación.
