L'agriculture urbaine dans les quartiers défavorisés de la métropole New-Yorkaise: la justice alimentaire à l'épreuve de la justice sociale

Abstract
La notion de justice alimentaire irrigue les discours des tenants du food movement aux États-Unis. Elle se traduit par l'essor de l'agriculture urbaine dans les grandes métropoles américaines. Loin de se cantonner à son statut de mouvement de classes moyennes blanches préoccupées par leur bien-être alimentaire, la justice alimentaire cherche à favoriser la sécurité alimentaire des populations pauvres et des minorités ethniques des quartiers défavorisés. Elle introduit dès lors des enjeux de justice sociale dans les enjeux alimentaires des métropoles. Le cas d'étude de la ville de New York, et notamment du quartier de Hunts Point dans le South Bronx, permet de rendre compte des pratiques contemporaines locales de justice alimentaire et de souligner leurs apports théoriques, notamment à partir des concepts dont le mouvement s'inspire : justice sociale, justice spatiale et justice environnementale.
