Abstract
Cet article propose une analyse de la violence et du racisme à la lumière des relations entre Indiens et Métis au Mexique. L’analyse a pour point de départ la violence symbolique, considérée comme une pratique présente dans la construction culturelle de la nation et sur laquelle reposent les représentations actuelles qui tendent à criminaliser les indigènes. Certains aspects de la violence, symbolique et autre, sont présentés dans l’article pour illustrer ce qui émerge des relations interethniques dans la ville de Mexico.
