Abstract
That bittersweet time has arrived for me to conclude my term as Management Communication Quarterly’s (MCQ) Editor-in-Chief. Yes, I am sad to let this wonderful role go; but the time is right for MCQ to move in its next direction. Transition points such as this provide opportunities for reflection and for looking forward, and I have certainly been in a reflective mood of late. For my farewell editorial, I wish to share with you my two most significant reflections as our journal moves forward.
