Des prémisses de la théorie de la forme urbaine au parcours morphogénétique de l’établissement humain

Abstract
L'article se propose d'examiner les implications épistémologiques sous-jacentes aux deux principales prémisses de la théorie de la forme urbaine: 1) l'organisation géographique des formes concrètes de l'établissement humain relève d'une structure morphologique abstraite; 2) la dynamique génératrice de cette structure fait intervenir la production du sens. Cet examen conduit à l'élaboration d'un parcours qui rend compte de la progression, de la transformation, de la complexification et de la spatialisation du sens intervenant dans la morphogenèse de l'établissement humain. Dans ce parcours morphogénétique, le sens anthropologique lié aux représentations profondes du destin de l'homme se trouve actualisé par le sens politique du contrôle de la mobilité qui le positionne spatialement et le colocalise morphologiquement.
