Abstract
Les conditions de vie et de travail générées par la précarité d’emploi nous apparaissent comme partie prenante de la construction du rapport au travail. Les travailleurs et travailleuses précaires sont susceptibles de vivre intensément la contradiction entre la centralité du travail, comme vecteur d’intégration sociale, et les difficultés à réussir leur intégration professionnelle. Dans le cadre d’une recherche qualitative de type empirique, la reconstitution des trajectoires professionnelles (52) nous a permis de situer les sources de la précarité d’emploi, de dégager les dimensions objectives et subjectives de la précarité et d’analyser ce que représente le travail rémunéré dans une période où l’insécurité relativement à la situation de l’emploi est grandissante.
