Abstract
Cet article vise à montrer la fascination qu’exerce une mégapole comme Tokyo et les modes de représentation que les écrivains ou artistes mettent au point en fonction des supports et médias dont ils disposent. L’exemple d’Éric Sadin me semble, à ce titre, particulièrement parlant. Pour lui, Tokyo dans l’écriture n’est pas tout à fait la même que Tokyo sur un site Web ou sur un DVD. Le fonctionnement des images ne joue pas de la même façon. Tokyo, la ville écran symbolise aujourd’hui la « peau virtuelle » des mégapoles. En ce sens, pour Éric Sadin, Tokyo est la ville emblématique de notre temps.
