Abstract
L’article s’intéresse à l’évolution contemporaine de la critique et à la manière dont elle incorpore de plus en plus de considérations à caractère culturel en se déplaçant au coeur même de la société civile globale. L’argument principal est à savoir que la critique participe de la mondialisation en la complexifiant et en rendant ses frontières plus ambiguës. Les mouvements sociaux, par exemple, sont pris dans une logique de mouvements et de contre-mouvements faisant en sorte de rendre plusieurs conflits axiologiques indépassables. Ces derniers se déplacent entre autres dans une sphère culturelle et des médiacultures qui oscillent entre différentes productions et réceptions critiques. Ces mêmes conflits axiologiques se déplacent également dans une réversibilité des crises humanitaires et de l’humanitaire en crise. À terme, ce que ces transformations donnent à penser, c’est une démocratisation paradoxale de la société civile globale.
