Abstract
Dans le cadre général de l'analyse des processus d'intégration sociale des personnes stigmatisées, nous proposons ici une étude sur la dimension collective des logiques d'intégration. À travers une analyse comparative du développement de quatre mouvements sportifs de groupes stigmatisés en France (celui des handicapés physiques, des malvoyants, des sourds et des homosexuels), les auteurs proposent une vision diachronique des débats et conflits internes relatifs à la fermeture de ces mouvements sur eux-mêmes ou à leur ouverture sur l'extérieur. La recherche débouche sur une modélisation du processus d'intégration sociale qui donne toute leur importance à la dynamique des interactions avec les « normaux » et à la temporalité. L'article se termine sur une réflexion dans le but de comprendre pourquoi le sport est choisi par ces minorités actives pour mener un projet de « déstigmatisation ».
