Nous discutons de la formation des maîtres par rapport à la pluriethnicité à travers l’examen des pratiques pédagogiques privilégiées par les professeurs et leurs étudiants dans des cours spécifiques des programmes de formation des enseignants en Colombie-Britannique. L’analyse des données quantitatives indique que la praxis des enseignants se situe en creux de la réflexion critique et de l’action ; ces derniers adoptent une pédagogie critique et une pédagogie de l’inconfort, afin de susciter chez leurs étudiants une pratique pédagogique centrée sur des principes de justice et d’équité. Toutefois, certains points de rupture émergent au niveau de l’articulation de la réflexion critique à la pratique, lesquels se manifestent chez les étudiants à travers des expressions de désespoir, voire d’impuissance, et de silence.
