Abstract
La géographie devient progressivement une science sociale malgré une évolution au tracé sinueux depuis une vingtaine d'années. Comme ses consoeurs des sciences sociales, elle participerait à l'étude d'un objet commun, la société, privilégiant spécifiquement l'étude des rapports que celle-ci entretient avec le territoire. Ainsi, la géographie serait tout autant la science des hommes que celle des lieux. Le renouveau épistémologique de la dernière décennie a placé la géographie devant le défi d'être une science sociale à part entière.
