Abstract
Cet article analyse les comportements d'innovation dans deux secteurs de l'artisanat industriel du sud-ouest de la France, les secteurs «métaux-électricité» et «bois-ameublement». Deux types de comportements sont mis en évidence, l’un fondé sur une logique entrepreneuriale et l'autre sur une logique technique. Les apports d'une théorie de l'innovation qui insiste sur les aspects qualitatifs et organisationnels de la création de technologie sont utilisés pour suggérer des politiques publiques de l'innovation dans ce contexte. Ces politiques prennent en compte l'articulation entre l'organisation et le marché et l'insertion des entreprises dans une trsÿectoire technologique avec environnement donné ou dans un processus de création de technologie qui modifie leur environnement.
