Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract We investigate single‐electron resonant tunneling through gated vertical quantum dot molecules for which the tunnel coupling between the two dots is weak to examine magnetic field induced two‐ and three‐level crossings in the single‐particle energy spectrum of the constituent dots. We consider two devices. Device I with almost circular dots is close to ideal, i.e., the dot spectrum is like the Fock–Darwin spectrum with expected level crossings. Device II with elliptically deformed dots seems close to ideal too, i.e., the dot spectrum is overall like the elliptical parabolic dot spectrum, except at many of the level crossings, where unexpected anti‐crossing behavior is observed between two or more approaching levels. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
