Abstract

Cette étude porte sur un groupe de 641 enfants d’école primaire, décrit par rapport à des variables sociologiques (appartenance socio-économique, groupes d’âge, de sexe, etc.) et des variables psychologiques (motivation, sentiment de réussite, satisfaction, etc.). Ensuite, à partir des performances scolaires de ceux-ci, la hiérarchisation interactive des différents facteurs sociologiques et psychologiques à l’aide de l’analyse de segmentation a été effectuée. Les résultats obtenus montrent que les enfants qui appartiennent aux classes sociales favorisées obtiennent de meilleurs résultats scolaires que les enfants des classes sociales défavorisées; ils montrent que les élèves les plus forts se distinguent des autres au plan psychologique (sentiment de force, besoin d’aide). De plus les élèves les plus faibles se caractérisent d’abord par leur âge, puis par leur appartenance socio-économique.
