Abstract
À partir de la fable d’Ovide lue comme un petit traité de poétique, je considère l’écho comme une contrainte formelle et une figure de répétition. Laissant ainsi de côté l’idée d’évocation hypertextuelle également associée à l’écho, je m’intéresse à la contrainte de la répétition dans Saint Glinglin de Raymond Queneau et plus spécifiquement dans l’analyse d’échanges anodins repris trois fois, avec des variantes, dans le roman. En abordant ces échanges rituels sur la pluie et le beau temps comme un autre petit traité de poétique, je cherche à montrer comment Queneau renouvelle et métamorphose la figure de l’écho au sein d’une parole usuelle elle-même quotidiennement répétée, nouant ainsi étroitement, et de façon problématique, formalisme et réalisme.
