Abstract
La Suède des années 1770-1810, attachée à la liberté mais opposée à la Révolution française, fournit ici un cas pour l’étude des circulations musicales et dramatiques. Les liens culturels des élites avec la France facilitent la réception des spectacles musicaux français, alors que dans d’autres domaines de la musique les influences germaniques et italiennes sont fortes. Avec la fondation de l’Opéra et le développement simultané de théâtres privés, les spectacles deviennent à la fois un instrument politique pour la monarchie et un lieu de sociabilité et de débat permettant aux élites urbaines de construire leur identité par le goût. L’étude du répertoire montre que le genre le plus joué est l’opéra-comique, reçu sous la forme de traductions légèrement adaptées. Cet article étudie les voies par lesquels les spectacles musicaux étrangers arrivent en Suède, mais aussi la dimension politique de leur appropriation.
