Abstract
El artículo analiza el desarrollo de la libertad confesional y del pluralismo religioso dentro la actual sociedad rural boliviana, tomando como caso la colonización campesina de Caranavi-Alto Beni.Asimismo, señala las consecuencias que tienen estos fenómenos sobre los cambios en la conducta y los valores de la población y sobre la socialización y la distribución del poder gestada a partir de la intervención de las instituciones protestantes y evangélicas en la vida política local.De otra parte, el pluralismo da paso a nuevas formas de retroacción religiosa que se manifiestan también a través del florecimiento de cultos inspirados en cosmovisiones y temas autóctonos.
