Abstract
Si l’apprentissage de l’écrit en langue maternelle n’est pas facile, il l’est encore moins en langue seconde. De même en est-il pour l’enseignement de l’écrit. Quel enseignant n’a pas ressenti le découragement à la lecture des textes d’étudiants où erreurs et faiblesses reviennent sans cesse, toujours les mêmes ! Il a l’impression de n’avoir rien enseigné et l’étudiant, de n’avoir rien appris. Les nouvelles connaissances sur le processus rédactionnel, et plus particulièrement sur le processus de révision, ouvrent des voies nouvelles. Cet article met l’accent sur l’enseignement de la révision et donne une démarche pour l’insérer dans l’enseignement de l’écrit. La révision conduit à de meilleures productions et donc à une plus grande satisfaction à la fois pour l’enseignant et l’apprenant. Les scripteurs découvrent, grâce à la révision, le plaisir d’écrire en langue seconde.
