Les familles lesboparentales sont réputées subversives en ce sens qu’elles contestent la représentation classique de la famille voulant qu’elle soit le fait d’un homme et d’une femme. Au Québec, le débat est présent depuis leur reconnaissance légale en 2002. Aux yeux de certaines personnes, la filiation homoparentale constituerait une dérive dangereuse pour l’ordre social. Cependant, ces familles se situent-elles réellement en marge des normes sociales? Cet article propose d’éclairer le débat à partir de données préliminaires recueillies auprès de mères lesbiennes avec donneur connu. Sous réserve de recherches ultérieures, ce terrain exploratoire a fait émerger des pistes d’interprétation très novatrices. Il est important d’en faire état, car, une fois de plus, la construction des rapports sociaux intra- et extra-familiaux semble plus complexe que les discours souvent normatifs qui l’accompagnent.
