Abstract
L’information dans l’Antiquité circulait par courrier, mais aussi par transmissions de signaux sonores ou lumineux. Après une étude documentaire des récits attestant la transmission d’informations par de tels médias au Levant aux premiers millénaires av. J.-C., l’auteur a démontré que les logiciels actuels de conception des réseaux de télécommunications peuvent suggérer des sites-relais dans le cadre étudié. Les limites techniques adéquates sont prises en compte. Il en a déduit des modèles de réseaux. Ces hypothèses ont été validées sur le terrain. Cette approche, par une synthèse originale de l’archéologie et des télécommunications, a permis de définir une méthode de préprospection en archéologie.
