Abstract
Este artículo examina la experiencia del Partido de los Trabajadores (PT), tanto durante periodos en que actuaba como fuerza política opositora como cuando ejercía el poder, para desarrollar un enfoque teórico sobre el uso que los actores políticos hacen de las Cortes. Sostengo que la manera en que los partidos usan las Cortes es el resultado de sus relaciones con el poder ejecutivo, con la arquitectura institucional del poder judicial y con la evaluación estratégica de los diferentes mecanismos judiciales que le sean disponibles.
