PWM Inverters Using Split-Wound Coupled Inductors
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The number of voltage levels available in PWM voltage source inverters can be increased by using an inverter leg with a split-wound coupled inductor and interleaved PWM switching of the upper and lower switches. The magnetizing inductance of the split-wound inductor filters the PWM-cycle instantaneous voltage differences between the upper and lower switches. The windings of the same inductor present a high quality 3-level PWM voltage at the inverter output terminals, with the winding leakage inductance effectively in series with this voltage. Since dc-rail short circuits are not a serious issue, dead-time PWM signal delays can be minimized. The overall quality of the output PWM waveforms are improved with higher fundamental frequencies and fundamental voltages possible, and using higher PWM frequencies and lower common mode voltage stresses. The application of this technique in 3-phase inverters is emphasized. Simulation and experimental results are used to illustrate the operation of the proposed inverter structure.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
