Abstract
Selon une approche communicative, les interactions verbales entre pairs doivent constituer un aspect essentiel de l’enseignement de la langue. Notre étude porte sur le déroulement de ces interactions afin de découvrir à quel genre d’apprentissage langagier elles peuvent donner lieu. Nous avons filmé, sur vidéo, de petits groupes d’élèves des six années du primaire en situation d’échange verbal et suivant diverses consignes linguistiques (informer, s’exprimer, convaincre). Des résultats préliminaires montrent que la connaissance du sujet traité constitue un élément déterminant de la qualité et de la quantité de l’expression orale et que les enfants ont la capacité de percevoir les exigences linguistiques de base d’un type de discours donné.
