La tradition de recherche en communication internationale a singulièrement évolué au cours des dernières années. D’une tradition issue de la fin de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale marquée par l’importance de la communication pour le développement, on assiste aujourd’hui à un champ de recherche éclaté qui traite de plusieurs objets (couverture médiatique, technologies de l’information et de la communication, diversité culturelle, etc.) et de zones géographiques différentes. Le but de cet article est de présenter un panorama actualisé des recherches en communication internationale et de proposer des perspectives théoriques qui devront être approfondies.
