L’analyse des repères juridiques met en évidence le besoin d’une communication efficace entre les personnes impliquées pour assurer la participation de l’individu dans la détermination de l’intensité de ses soins. Au plan clinique, l’exigence d’inclure une communication en temps opportun se fonde sur l’éthique communicative. La réalisation de ce projet (un DVD de 15 minutes intitulé Traitements prolongeant la vie : j’y pense, j’en parle ) offre un moyen simple et pratique de faciliter la communication en temps opportun des volontés de l’individu relatives à l’intensité de ses soins.
