Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We study the performance of advance resource reservation in a network environment with emphasis placed on multi-party conferencing. An immediate acknowledgment model is considered, where a reservation request is processed as soon as it is submitted. The set of links that interconnect the conference participants is determined by a routing function. Routing decisions can be affected by the way link costs are assigned. We use simulation to study the performance difference of two types of link cost functions: constant and exponential. Results that show the tradeoff between resource usage and load balancing are presented. The residual capacities (or capacities not reserved) can be used to support other services, e.g., best-effort traffic. A simple model is used to study the impact of variations in residual capacities at the various links on the end-to-end delay of best-effort traffic.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
