Single-cell cluster for high capacity narrowband cellular systems
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Since wideband systems can operate with single cell clusters they outperform existing narrowband systems in providing capacity. Current narrowband systems typically operate with cluster sizes of three or seven cells. In this work, we propose joint maximum likelihood (JML) multiuser detection as a means to reduce the cluster size and approach the capacity of wideband systems. To our knowledge, this is the first time a single cell cluster has been achieved in narrowband systems. Unlike previous work, in this research, ML detection is performed jointly on the desired user and a few of the other-cell users in the system which are received with the highest signal power at the desired user's base station. Due to the selection technique, the computation is kept manageable, while the performance of the single cell cluster is improved to match that of the conventional system

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
