Abstract
Certains chercheurs associés à l’analyse du comportement défendent l’hypothèse selon laquelle les comportements des enfants sont d’abord façonnés par des contingences de renforcement, puis deviendraient gouvernés par des règles. L’objectif de l’étude est d’analyser l’effet différentiel des règles et des contingences de renforcement sur le comportement de quatre enfants âgés de 3 à 5 ans. Les participants doivent accomplir des tâches d’appariement et de complétion d’images en fonction de deux programmes de renforcement, l’un multiple (avec une règle) et l’autre mixte (sans règle). Ces deux programmes sont suivis de phases d’extinction. Les résultats montrent deux types de réponses; les comportements sous l’effet de la règle et ceux qui ne le sont pas.
